What a Hyperresearch run costs

A Hyperresearch run is priced flat and charged per run. There are two sizes: Light at $9, Deep at $49. There is no minimum, no seat licence, no sales call, and no quote to request. You can read every number on this page before you create an account.

Two sizes, one flat price each

Run Price What it is for What you get
Light $9 Answer one focused question, or investigate a narrow topic About 20 to 50 sources, about 2,500 to 4,000 words, about 30 to 40 minutes
Deep $49 Investigate a broader question across several research sections About 150 to 200 sources, 3 to 5 hours

Light’s figures are what production Light runs deliver today; Deep’s are the targets the pipeline gates on. Neither is a guarantee.

Rerunning from a step costs a fraction of the run price, because the earlier work is reused: 25% from step 12 onward, 50% from steps 8 to 11, 100% from steps 2 to 7. A rerun is a new billed run, and the console shows its price on the control before you start it.

Every run ships with its evidence

Whatever you paid, the report arrives with its evidence attached: the full list of sources read and where each one came from, and a table of the claims the report leans on with the quote behind each. A Light report’s cited claims are checked against their sources, and corrected where they do not hold, before it ships. A Deep report also carries a verification receipt recording which citations were read back against the source cited and what the checker found. None of that is an extra charge. It is how the report is finished.

Pay as you go is the default plan

Pay as you go is the default plan and costs $0 per month. Two free Light runs, no card. Add a card and one free Deep run comes with it (one per new card, once per account). Runs are charged as they finish and appear on one monthly invoice, and you can set a monthly spend cap on the account.

Enterprise

If your work needs a HIPAA business associate agreement, your own documents in a private vault, retention or residency terms, single sign-on, or a signed agreement in place of these Terms, that is a conversation rather than a plan. Start it at /enterprise.

When a run is billed, and when it is refunded

  • A run is billed when it reaches done, or when it fails after step 10 and a report exists.
  • A run that fails before step 2 completes is not billed at all.
  • A run that ends blocked and is never resumed is billed at the Light price if no report was produced, or at its own price if one was.
  • Runs that fail because of us refund automatically. The finish step classifies the failure, and provider outages with exhausted fallbacks, engine crashes and schema faults are refunded by the system without you filing anything.
  • A run that trips one of our internal spend ceilings goes blocked, and you are never charged more than the price above.
  • Quality complaints are handled by hand at launch and by re-run credit later.

Terminal states say what was charged. A finished run reads “Charged $49”, “Refunded” or “Not charged”, on the run page and on the invoice.

The unit is a run, not a call

Most research APIs bill a task, where a task is one search-and-summarise call priced in cents. A Hyperresearch run is a different unit of work. A Deep run is a width sweep, a contradiction graph that pairs opposing claims into ranked clusters, and parallel investigators sent down each of those clusters with orders to commit to a position, repeated for each of its 3 to 5 chapters; then a plan for every section of the report, a targeted fetch for what the plan still lacks, the whole report written in one pass by a single writer working from all of the evidence, and a check that reads every cited claim against the source it cites. Every source read is kept in your workspace vault, and the next run searches that vault before the web.

The cheap call is the right purchase when you need an answer in seconds inside a user-facing product, when the question has a settled answer and no live disagreement to map, or when you are doing thousands of shallow lookups a day and cost per call dominates. Hyperresearch is the right purchase when someone downstream will ask where a number came from, when being wrong is expensive, or when you want the evidence to still be there and searchable for the next question.
